In 1998, 10 acres of land was donated to the churches for the following purposes: 1. To build a place for camps and adventure for the youth 2. To foster mentoring and discipleship within their communities 3. A base for social, cultural and religious activities for the youth 4. A launching place for involvement in the communities surrounding the land Tanari Trust was incorporated in 2001 to run the new property as a camp (since developed into Camp Malta ), but also to develop other ministries that would broaden the reach of ministry of the five churches. The Trust adopted two other ministries which had been initiated at one of the churches. These were an Outdoor ministry, and the Rites of Passage Experiences (ROPES). |
